A now-abolished rule where the first goal scored in extra time immediately ended the match. Used at major tournaments from 1993 to 2004. Produced incredible drama (Trezeguet's Euro 2000 winner) and was scrapped because it made teams too defensive in extra time, afraid to concede the instant-death goal.
