Overview

StanQuiz is a free fan site at stanquiz.com. We keep data collection as light as we can and try to explain clearly what is stored, what is optional, and which third-party services help run the site.

What we collect

Email subscriptions

If you ask to be notified about new quizzes, we collect your email address and the group or series you subscribed from. We use that only to send the updates you requested and unsubscribe links in those emails.

Analytics

With consent where required, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic and improve the site. This can include page visits, device information, referral data, and interactions with quiz pages.

Advertising technology

When advertising is enabled on StanQuiz, Google AdSense and related Google ad technology may use cookies or similar storage to serve, measure, and limit ads. Depending on your location and choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

Local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember quiz progress, subscription state, and your consent preferences. That information stays in your browser unless you choose to clear it.

Boost vote protection

When you boost a group, series, or member, we store a one-way hash derived from your IP address to enforce daily vote limits. The stored value is designed to prevent abuse, not to identify you directly.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from quiz emails at any time using the link inside each message.
  • Clear your browser storage if you want to reset quiz progress or stored consent preferences.
  • Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and similar technologies.

How long we keep data

Subscriber records stay in Cloudflare D1 until you unsubscribe or request removal. Boost vote protection records may be retained to defend the integrity of the feature. Analytics and advertising data retention is handled according to the settings and policies of the relevant Google products.
