Overview

StanQuiz is a free fan site at stanquiz.com. We keep data collection as light as we can and try to explain clearly what is stored, what is optional, and which third-party services help run the site.

What we collect

Email subscriptions

If you ask to be notified about new quizzes, we collect your email address and the group or series you subscribed from. We use that only to send the updates you requested and unsubscribe links in those emails.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic and improve the site, with IP anonymization turned on. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and records page visits, device and browser information, referral data, and interactions with quiz pages. We read those reports in aggregate and do not use them to identify individual visitors.

Advertising

StanQuiz does not run advertising. No ad network is loaded on this site, no advertising cookies are set, and nothing is used for ad personalization.

Local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember which quizzes you have completed, your quiz streak, your Fan Crown season gate, and whether you have subscribed or dismissed the email signup box. That information stays in your browser unless you choose to clear it. StanQuiz itself sets no cookies; the only cookies involved are the Google Analytics ones described above.

Boosts and Fan Crown counting

When you finish a quiz, StanQuiz adds points to that act's Fan Crown season total. Those totals are anonymous aggregates: they are not tied to an account, a name, or an email address. When you boost a group, series, or member, and when completions are counted, we store a one-way hash derived from your IP address alongside the day and the act, purely to enforce daily limits. The stored value is designed to prevent abuse, not to identify you directly.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from quiz emails at any time using the link inside each message.
• Clear your browser storage if you want to reset quiz progress or other stored preferences.
• Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and similar technologies.

How long we keep data

Subscriber records stay in Cloudflare D1 until you unsubscribe or request removal. Boost and Fan Crown counting records (the one-way IP hashes and the aggregate counts) may be retained to defend the integrity of those features. Analytics data retention is handled according to the settings of Google Analytics.
