Winner

A shot that the opponent cannot reach or touch, ending the point outright. Not to be confused with an ace (which is specifically a serve). Winners are the currency of aggressive tennis. Tracking winners vs. unforced errors tells you whether a player is taking calculated risks or just hitting and hoping. A clean winner feels incredible to hit.

"Inside-out forehand winner to the corner. Her opponent didn't even move. That's her 25th winner today."
