Mark

Originally carnival slang for the sucker who believes the game is real. In wrestling, a mark is someone who gets fully invested in the storylines — which, honestly, is the whole point. Calling someone a mark used to be an insult from insiders. Now everyone's a mark for something. You cheer when your guy wins? Congratulations, you're a mark. Embrace it.

"I don't care if it's scripted, I popped when he kicked out at two. I'm a mark and I'm not ashamed."
