Backstage

Agent

A backstage producer, usually a retired or semi-retired wrestler, who helps plan individual matches. They work with the talent to lay out the match structure — what spots to hit, when to go home, how to time the commercial breaks. Not the same as a talent agent. Most agents are former wrestlers who know the business inside out. It's the most common second career in wrestling.

"The agent for tonight's main event is a former world champion. He's been doing this for fifteen years."
